THIS IS WHY TRUMP TRUMPS OBAMA
As the tumult over Muslim refugees rages on — with over one million invading Europe in 2015 alone and tensions in the US heightening over Obama’s ongoing resettlement program — another story has tragically played out — and it demonstrates in detail exactly what so many westerners fear about the swarms of asylum seekers overtaking their shores.
“They Have Had An Agenda From Day One”
Last summer, in order to help struggling refugees, a liberal white couple in South Africa opened their 50 acre farm to “143 foreign nationals, including children,” who were displaced during “xenophobic attacks” by South African blacks upon black Muslims from central Africa, according to News 24.
Hundreds of thousands of African refugees have poured across South Africa’s comparatively rich borders in order to escape the carnage in their home countries. But black South African citizens — in fear of losing the limited jobs available — eventually forced the closing of refugee camps.
Andrew and Rae Wartnaby, both 47, were “heartbroken” when they heard that the single remaining encampment in their municipality was being shuttered and learned that some foreigners had been arrested and separated from their children after illegally occupying the location.
The Wartnaby’s persuaded law enforcement not to prosecute the refugees and then decided to house them on their farm. The African Muslims were given housing, food, education, and clothing by the couple, helped by the “Gift of the Givers, the South African Council of Churches, Islamic Relief and various churches.” Stories ran in the media about the Wartnaby’s generosity, widely praising them for how they provided an example of how “tolerance” and “understanding” could work.
Five months later, the Wartnabys are living in fear, ready to flee their home on a moment’s notice.
“I cannot leave my farm but we have a vehicle that is packed and ready for my family to go whenever there is trouble. We are living in fear because we think that we will be attacked,” said Andrew Wartnaby.
Wartnaby said trouble began a few months ago when the couple tried to get the process going to find the foreigners a third country. Said Andrew:
“The process was sabotaged and they split themselves into two groups of 84 and 55. The bigger group became militant and they refused to do anything on the farm and they have made it completely unreasonable for us.”
Wartnaby said he asked his “guests” to use resources sparingly, but was ignored. When he went to speak with the group, he was surrounded and they began threatening him, accusing him of being a “government agent.”
Then, in the early hours of the morning — just one week before Christmas — the foreigners started smashing his windows and doors, forcing his wife and children to leave the property in fear for their own safety.
The so-called “guests” burned their tents, cut his fencing, and accused Wartnaby of failing to protect them and abusing their children. Now, he just wants the group to leave his farm.
“They have had an agenda from day one and this is the reason why the government failed to assist them. You cannot turn to me for help, then you threaten my life and that of my family.
“We have done so much for them in the last five months, we know every one of them by name, we have loved and cared for them and this is how they chose to respond.”
Wartnaby stated that the refugees “kept shouting that tonight was my night and they will kill me,” adding that “he hadn’t slept since.”
