Protesters take to streets and clash with police at Donald Trump’s California rally
While Donald Trump spoke at his Costa Mesa, Orange County rally, at the Pacific Amphitheater, scores of demonstrators, many of whom were waving Mexican flags, took to the streets causing chaos and damage. The protesters threw rocks at motorists and jumped on cars. One police car was smashed up in the scuffles.

One Trump supporter was punched in the face during the scuffles. Jeremy Diamond, reporting for CNN Politics tweeted,

Rally attendee Terry Krokosz told Breitbart News.
“The Trump supporters were the peaceful people singing patriotic songs, festive and happy, while the protesters were very angry and high aggression. We were in line sharing stories as Wally gave away pins and shared stories of military service,”
As for the rally itself, immigration was at the heart of Trump’s address, which resonated well with the audience considering Orange County’s close proximity to the Mexican border.
Trump was speaking to an 8,000 strong audience.
“If we don’t have borders, we don’t have a country,” the crowd responded with chants of, “USA, USA”.
